My name is David Black, I’m a Fashion Designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. My brand House of Black specalises in recycling clothes & textiles, taking clothes that are damaged or unwanted & turning them into something new. All my garments are made from 100% recycled & repurposed materials. 

 

I try to make clothes that are fun, I don’t believe you have to sacrifice style to be sustainable. Fashion, for me, is about expressing yourself, not taking yourself too seriously & most importantly, my clothing is for everyone, no matter the age / gender / race / sexuality / religion / background. 

 

I have been hosting independent fashion shows to launch collections for two seasons now. While I am a One-Man Brand, I’m very proud of the strong community HoB has built in Glasgow. I’m very passionate about the diverse & incredibly talented models, photographers, interns, muses & creatives I collaborate with each season. They truly help to make this fashion house a home.
