The Bleaq Showrooms & Studios
Wow what a journey it has been. But finally - our own permanent space.
Since sadly closing our iconic Brick Lane store last October due to severe rent increases, it has certainly been a turbulent time for us. We have been on the search for a stable, safe space for us to grow as a business ever since. Even though we have built up an impressive portfolio over the past 3 years, having traveled the world to activate creative communities and working with well known industry institutions - we still found it absolutely impossible to secure funding or support. The unjust hierarchy and insular attitude of the fashion industry really did hit home and at moments we felt lost and used.
However, we persevered. Director Shannen turned her focus towards South London - a thriving community she has been a part of for 10 years. Thanks to encouragement and support from our local community (and thanks to our now neighbours Bricks Magazine for the contact) - we secured a space in Brixton, a place we can finally call our home.
The boss bitches got to work (Shannen, Ashley and Em) and in just 2 weeks' turnover, the Bleaq team managed to bring their vision to life. The Bleaq Showrooms & Studios is now ready and open. It will be a space for:

Our ethos remains at the center of everything we do. We are more than just a store. Accessibility, Community and Consumption are our focus. The Bleaq Showrooms & Studios is a place where we finally can streamline and develop these pillars. The showroom will be a hub to grow and change the way we all experience fashion.
